This was my first sketch which changed drastically. My first idea was to make a Mario cart themed rubber band racer. I started with an oval base which I discovered was not a good idea. I made my cart this way, but it did not work so I had to re plan.

My second idea was to make a pizza. I was hungry so this idea sounded very appealing. I created a pizza by making my base a triangle. This worked much better and I was able to achieve my goal of making my car move. The struggle I had with this was putting too much hot glue on everything. I learned it the hard way when the glue prevented my wheels from spinning.

In the end I was very happy with the finished product and how far it went.

I was very proud of these results since I faced many struggles throughout making my racer. I was just happy that it moved! As Mr.Grillo said, my racer went from a potato with a crown, to an actual racer.

 

This project had its ups and downs, but in all it was very fun. This is my favorite project so far and I think I was the most successful at this one. It was very cool to see my racer come together and get farther by farther by changing certain things.
